EVANSTON, Ill. — Chris Solari rates Michigan State football on a scale of 1 to 10 after the Spartans’ 31-10 win in their Big Ten opener Saturday at Northwestern.

Offense: 7

This looked much more like the improved production that was promised in the offseason. Despite just 337 total yards, MSU took advantage of good field position after an interception for a late first-half touchdown that shook the funk.
