EAST LANSING – Another slow start. Another key injury. Another fourth-quarter fade.
All three are becoming pattern problems that Michigan State continues to overcome.
But tougher tests are on the horizon.
The 18th-ranked Spartans got another run-stuffing defensive performance and finally found their offensive rhythm in the middle of Saturday’s game against Central Michigan.
MSU scored all of its points in the second and third quarters, getting its run game going for a 31-20 victory at Spartan Stadium and doing just enough to hold off the Chippewas’ late comeback attempt.
