A week after moving a showcase home game to Detroit, Michigan State football learned another premier game at Spartan Stadium won’t be televised.
Instead, the Spartans’ game with Washington on Sept. 16 will only air on NBC’s streaming platform, Peacock. It kicks off at 5 p.m., and a program spokesman confirmed there won’t be a local television simulcast.
The NFL, despite its agreement to stream Thursday night games on Amazon Prime, requires those games to be broadcast to over-the-air channels locally in the markets of the two teams playing.
