Michigan State football knows at least one senior who won’t take advantage of a bonus year of eligibility.
Fifth-year senior defensive tackle Naquan Jones announced Wednesday via Twitter that he plans to enter the 2021 NFL draft. It is unclear if he will play in Saturday’s regular season finale at Maryland.
“Playing professional football has always been my ultimate goal and passion,” Jones wrote, “and Michigan State has put me in the best position to make that possible.”
Jones has been a stalwart at nose tackle the past three seasons, but this is his first year as a starter.
