Michigan State football down two significant players vs. Purdue Boilermakers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Michigan State football is without Jalen Nailor for Saturday’s game at the Purdue Boilermakers. And he’s not the only significant loss.

Starting left tackle Jarrett Horst and Nailor were among the players who did not travel with the No. 6 Spartans for their 3:30 p.m. kickoff at Ross-Ade Stadium, a team spokesman confirmed.

Horst, a 6-foot-6, 310-pound transfer from Arkansas State, has started every game this season for MSU (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten).

The first-unit offensive line in warmups included a number of shifts. AJ Arcuri, who started last season at left tackle, replaced Horst after starting the first eight games this season at right tackle.
