Michigan State football CB Chris Jackson the latest to enter the NCAA transfer portal

The exodus out of the Michigan State football program continued on Christmas Eve.

Redshirt sophomore cornerback Chris Jackson became the latest Spartans player to enter the NCAA transfer portal, submitting his name Thursday. His departure is not a surprise as head coach Mel Tucker hinted that it was coming before the early signing period last week.

“Chris hasn't been with the team, and I really don't anticipate him being back with the team this season,” Tucker said on Dec. 15. “We'll assess everything with Chris after the season when we're all wrapped up.”

Jackson made two starts at the outset of the season before suffering an injury that caused him to miss games against Iowa and Indiana.
