Michigan State football CB Charles Brantley enters transfer portal

A third Michigan State football starter entered the transfer portal, this time on defense.

Starting cornerback Charles Brantley joined quarterback Payton Thorne and wide receiver Keon Coleman in submitting their names into the portal Sunday, the Free Press confirmed.

The 6-foot, 170-pound junior, who snagged the game-clinching interception in the Spartans’ win over Michigan in 2021, has two years of eligibility remaining. He finished last season with 48 tackles while starting 11 games and the only interception by the MSU secondary.
