EAST LANSING — Michigan State football is back to three captains this year, and two of them are juniors.
Quarterback Brian Lewerke and linebacker Joe Bachie join senior safety Khari Willis as the top leaders for the 12th-ranked Spartans, who open the season Aug. 31 at home against Utah State (7 p.m., Big Ten Network).
