Short-term memory is crucial for all starting quarterbacks and it’ll be especially important for Brian Lewerke in the 2018 Redbox Bowl versus Oregon.
On Friday, Mark Dantonio announced that Lewerke has been getting all first-team reps in bowl practice for Michigan State and would be the starter in the Redbox Bowl.
This is where short-term memory comes into play.
Lewerke has had a rough season, falling below all expectations placed upon him in the preseason as he’s passed for 1,868 yards and eight touchdowns with 10 interceptions. His completion rate was a disappointing 54 percent and he just never looked the same after taking a hit in the Arizona State game on an interception.
