Michigan State football adds one of nation's top long snappers in Hank Pepper from Arizona

Mel Tucker is not done adding to Michigan State football’s 2021 class.

The Spartans signed long snapper Hank Pepper on Thursday afternoon, a day before the early period closes.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Pepper, who is from Chandler, Arizona, previously was committed to former Michigan coach Brady Hoke at San Diego State.

Pepper is a two-star prospect, according to rankings from both 247Sports.com and rivals.com, but he was rated the nation’s No.
