Michigan State Football: 5 takeaways from loss to Nebraska

This one still stings for Michigan State football coaches, players and fans, alike. Knowing that all the Spartans had to do was get a first down and the game would have been over, heading back to East Lansing with a 9-0 record hurts, especially now that they’re 8-1 with a reduced shot to make the College Football Playoff.

Mike Riley’s Nebraska Cornhuskers put up a solid fight and the Spartan defense in the fourth quarter folded as Tommy Armstrong Jr. and the rest of the offense did whatever they wanted to against this Michigan State secondary.
