It’s been a rough season for Michigan State. First, the Spartans lost on the road to Arizona State in non-conference play, then at home to Northwestern followed by defeats against Ohio State and Michigan in East Lansing. These are games that this 10-win squad from a season ago imagined winning before the year started, but things haven’t gone the Spartans’ way.
Injuries have played a hand in the Spartans’ disappointing 6-4 record, but so, too, has the lackluster offense with no run game, a quarterback who has been battling shoulder issues and confidence problems and an offensive line with no consistency in sight.
