For years, Mel Tucker has been able to land solid running backs. Keeping them committed to Michigan State football has been the real trick.
But on Saturday night, Tucker got his next chance to hold on to a four-star running back as Anthony Carrie from Tampa, Fla., committed to the Spartans over North Carolina. Carrie now becomes the Spartans’ third four-star running back commit over the past four classes but the other two, Audric Estime and Kedrick Reescano, both flipped to other programs.
Carrie took a visit to Michigan State on June 9 and the Spartans had been trending ever since but he visited North Carolina on June 16.
