One of the top recruits in Michigan State football's class of 2024 has updated his status.
Jamari Howard, the No. 12 cornerback in the class and the 18th-best player in Florida for 2024, announced on social media on Saturday that he was withdrawing his commitment to the Spartans.
MSU landed the commitment from the four-star prospect in September and, according to 247Sports, and since then the recruiting profile for the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder from Hialeah, Florida, has gone up. He's scheduled to officially visit Florida on June 2 and officially visit MSU the following weekend, so the chapter may not yet be closed on Mel Tucker's chances of landing Howard.
