It’s been one of those offseasons for Michigan State. No, nothing crazy has happened off the field to put a dark cloud over the program, but rather it’s one that has lasted for far too long, especially after how disappointing the 2018 season was with a number of question marks still.
The Spartans finished 7-6 but there were doubts about everything from health affecting the record as well as the offense being the only thing standing between them and a New Year’s Six berth. If Michigan State had remained healthy throughout and the offense kept momentum from Week 1 on, we could be talking about completely different 2019 expectations.
