East Lansing — Michigan State wasn’t playing for any sort of revenge on Thursday night, not when there are bigger things to play for as the regular season reaches the final stretch.
But there’s little doubt, the Spartans entered their matchup with Wisconsin thinking about the last time they played the Badgers — a one-point loss in Madison that was the start of a seven-game win streak for Wisconsin.
That memory, along with an outside shot at grabbing at least a share of the Big Ten title, helped spark No. 8 Michigan State to a 69-57 victory over Wisconsin at Breslin Center.
