Michigan State defensive line will be tested against Arizona State

EAST LANSING — For a Michigan State defensive line that has always prioritized stopping the run game, come Saturday, it’ll have another task to fulfill: Getting to Arizona State quarterback Manny Wilkins.

While the Spartans allowed just 25 yards rushing to Utah State to start their season, that was largely because of a time of possession disparity and the Aggies’ up-tempo style. In turn, Michigan State struggled to generate consistent pressure as Utah State’s quarterback Jordan Love got the ball off so quickly.
