EAST LANSING — One thing still bothers Joe Bachie about last season.
How Michigan State’s defense came oh-so-close to being the nation’s No. 1 run defense.
“Don’t give up 300-some yards to Ohio State,” the junior linebacker lamented Thursday after the Spartans’ first practice, “and then we’re No. 1.”
That was one 335-yard aberration out of 13, against the eventual Big Ten champion.
