EAST LANSING - Josiah Scott had a decision to make.
Sit out and guarantee a redshirt for the season or play and risk losing it?
The sophomore cornerback opted for the latter and was key in lifting Michigan State (7-5, 5-4 Big Ten) to a 14-10 win against Rutgers (1-11, 0-9) in the regular-season finale on Saturday at Spartan Stadium.
"I felt like this game was way too important for us for me to sit," Scott said. "So, I felt like I made the right decision."
