Michigan State C Brian Allen is best bet to continue MSU draft streak

EAST LANSING — Brian Allen did not do much for NFL scouts Friday afternoon at Michigan State’s pro day.

But he might be the Spartans’ best hope to keep a significant streak alive.

MSU has had at least one player selected every year since the modern NFL draft began in 1967 after the merger with the AFL.

“At the combine, all of my grades were second through fifth rounds,” the center/guard said after the workouts were completed.
