CHICAGO — Another significant injury. Another back-and-forth game with Michigan. Another milestone for Michigan State basketball.
And another championship for the Spartans. And possibly a No. 1 seed in short order.
Cassius Winston’s driving layup with 29.1 seconds left gave No. 6 MSU the lead for good as the Spartans rallied to overcome an injury to Kyle Ahrens to add a Big Ten tournament title to their regular-season crown with a 65-60s victory over No. 10 Michigan on Sunday at United Center.
