EAST LANSING — Joshua Langford won’t play this year. Tom Izzo expects Kyle Ahrens will be bothered by his multitude of injuries the rest of the season. Cassius Winston and Rocket Watts both have battled their own physical ailments.
The junior forward admitted after the eighth-ranked Spartans’ 74-58 win over Minnesota that he has been battling tendinitis in his knees “for a little while.” It is a condition Winston dealt with the second half of last season but played through in leading MSU to the Final Four.
“It’s just one of those things where you gotta make sure you’re doing your rehab, doing your treatment,” Winston said after Thursday’s win, the Spartans’ eighth straight victory.
