Finding the meaning in Michigan State's 86-65 win over Nebraska on Feb. 20, 2020 in Lincoln, Neb. Detroit Free Press
LINCOLN, Neb. — The midseason doldrums hit Gabe Brown hard.
First, Michigan State basketball's swingman with an infectious personality got sick. Then he lost his spot in the starting lineup and, with it, his groove.
Brown made up for lost time Thursday night, hitting five 3-pointers and posting a career-high 17 points in the 25th-ranked Spartans’ 86-65 win at Nebraska.
“I know things have been down for me,” said Brown, who made 6 of 9 shots and grabbed four rebounds in 23 minutes.
