IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Michigan Statebasketball game scheduled for Thursday at Iowa has been postponed because of COVID-19 cases within the Spartan program.
MSU announced Wednesday night that the game was called after a third positive test within the program.
Tom Izzo revealed Wednesday that two of his players, freshman Mady Sissoko and his roommate, and Izzo's son, Steven, had tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
This is the second time this season that a Spartans game will be postponed due to COVID reasons. MSU's game in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge against Virginia in December was called off while the Cavaliers were dealing with coronavirus issues.
