Tom Izzo is putting in some serious work on the recruiting trail lately and it’s a refreshing development for Michigan State basketball fans who were growing worrisome over the lack of additions to the 2022 class.
Just a few months ago, Michigan State saw its final commitment (Emoni Bates) in 2022 reopen his recruitment, joining Enoch Boakye who decommitted months earlier and then signed with Arizona State, reclassifying to 2021. Bates also reclassified and had Michigan State on his trimmed list, but ultimately chosen Memphis.
The class was at zero commitments before Tre Holloman, one of the top guards in the class, picked Michigan State over some other top programs, including home-state school Minnesota.
