If you watched the NCAA Tournament this past season, you would have been entrenched in the “Is Tom Izzo too rough on his players?” debate that seemed to rage on for longer than it needed to.
Izzo was caught on camera getting in Aaron Henry’s face during a timeout in the Spartans’ first-round contest. His freshman wing had made some silly mistakes and Izzo let him have it, as any good coach would, and made sure he knew he wasn’t over it in the huddle.
That tough approach was met with plenty of former players stating that he’s just a coach doing his job and if he doesn’t lay into you like that, he doesn’t care.
