Tyson Walker provided the defense, with a quick-handed strip to force a turnover with 24.4 seconds left. Malik Hall delivered the offense, finishing a driving layup through contact. And the 13th-ranked Spartans escaped Maryland with a gut-check 65-63 victory on Tuesday night.
"He was on tonight," Marcus Bingham Jr. said of Hall, who finshed 6-for-12 shooting for a game-high 16 points. "Coach did a good job of calling something up. He came up, he was open, and Malik going right is 100%.
