Early on, it had the feel of a tight battle which would potentially come down to the wire, but then the 14-minute mark happened and Michigan State realized it was a much better team than Nebraska and put the pedal to metal for a 91-76 win.
Defense wasn’t the story against the Cornhuskers, obviously, as James Palmer Jr. finished with 30 points and Glynn Watson Jr. had 25, but it was the offensive outbursts of Kenny Goins and Matt McQuaid — you read that correctly — which led the Spartans to victory.
This win happened to be extremely important, too.
