Karim Mane reportedly has entered his name for the NBA draft, but the Michigan State basketball 2020 recruiting target also plans to retain his collegiate eligibility for now.
The 6-foot-5, 195-pound Canadian combo guard, who will turn 20 on May 16, told ESPN.com on Thursday he has sent his paperwork to the league but will not retain an agent to keep his college options open.
“I want to hear directly from teams,” Mane said. “If I can get a guarantee I’ll be drafted, I will probably need to think about staying in.”
Mane was born in Senegal before emigrating to Montreal as a child, is a five-star prospect according to both 247Sports.
