There will be one more former Michigan State basketball star in the NBA this season, and no, I’m not talking about anyone from the 2016-17 team. Matt Costello played well in NBA Summer League action this month and has earned himself a contract.

According to Zach Lowe, the San Antonio Spurs and Costello have reached a two-way deal on Thursday. What this means is that he will split time between the Spurs’ G-League team and the active roster. He will join former Spartan Bryn Forbes in San Antonio.
