Tom Izzo has to be a happy man. After kicking off his 2020 recruiting class with four-star uber-athletic point guard Jalen Terry, he picked up a pledge from a fairly new name in the process, four-star center Mady Sissoko.
“The whole coaching staff is amazing,” Sissoko said during his commitment on Instagram. “I felt like Michigan State was my place.”
Kansas, Memphis and BYU were the other finalists for the Utah-based center and Michigan State was a quick riser in the process. He visited East Lansing over the weekend and seemingly came away impressed, choosing the Spartans and presumably telling Izzo during his official that he wanted to commit.
