Michigan State basketball has second game, vs. Indiana, postponed due to COVID-19 issues

Michigan State basketball will not play its game scheduled for Sunday against Indiana due to multiple positive COVID-19 cases within the program.

The school announced the decision Thursday, the second straight game the Spartans are postponing.

Coach Tom Izzo on Wednesday said his son, Steven, and Mady Sissoko tested positive Sunday. A few hours later, a third player, also tested positive and the Spartans’ trip to No. 8 Iowa was called off shortly before a planned flight to Iowa City for a game that was scheduled for Thursday.

The two Big Ten games will be made up, but a date has not yet been finalized.
