Monday was a good day for Michigan State basketball. Besides learning the home and away opponents for the upcoming Big Ten season, the Spartans also received some positive news regarding Gavin Schilling.

The senior forward missed the entire 2016-17 season due to a knee injury he suffered right before Midnight Madness and it hurt the depth in the post tremendously. However, he got a fifth year and has been working his way back to the court.
According to reports from Jon Rothstein, Schilling has been cleared to practice with the team while Ben Carter is doing personal workouts and should be ready by September.
