Many experts are calling this the greatest opening night in college basketball history, and it’s tough to argue with No. 1 vs. No. 2 capping off the night after No. 3 and No. 4 tip off the Champions Classic at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
Michigan State and Kentucky are shutting down the night with the biggest game of non-conference play as the top two teams in the nation will be fighting to see who is truly No. 1.
The Spartans last faced Kentucky in the 2016 Champions Classic when the Wildcats were ranked No. 2 and Michigan State was 13th, but was run off the court 69-48.
