Virginia Tech kicks off the Maui Invitational for the Spartans on Monday night and this will be one of the better games of the tournament.
The Hokies can shoot the lights out and the Spartans can score in a multitude of ways, even though their 3-point percentage has been mediocre this season at just 30 percent. Michigan State and Virginia Tech may not be a defensive battle, as both teams average 80 points per game, but it could very well go down to the wire.
What can we expect from Monday night’s matchup?
3. Michigan State shoots 40-plus percent from 3-point land
It’s been a rough start to the season for Michigan State from beyond the arc and that’s relatively surprising given the fact that this team has some decent shooters.
