It looks as though Michigan State’s football season is over, pending any bowl invites, which feels like a long shot at this point. News broke on Thursday afternoon that the game scheduled for this weekend with Maryland will be canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Terrapin football program.
Maryland released this statement a little after 2 p.m. confirming the news.
NEWS: Under the guidance and advice from university medical staff, Maryland Athletics has canceled Saturday's scheduled football game against Michigan State.
The game will not be rescheduled. All team training activities have been paused.
