DALLAS – Thousands of Michigan State fans flocked to Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas to watch as the Spartan marching band and Alabama marching band competed in the annual "Battle of the Bands."
The event is part of the 2015 Cotton Bowl events scheduled for fans throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area leading up to the game.
Both bands will perform before and at halftime of the Cotton Bowl.
The football teams are scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. ET on New Years Eve. The winner will face the victor of the Clemson and Oklahoma game, which is scheduled for 4 p.
