Michigan State’s roster just got a little bit stronger for the 2015 season as Okemos High School star Conner George committed to the Spartans.
The 6-foot-3 guard from the high school just minutes away from Michigan State’s campus decided to join the Green & White after receiving offers from DII programs like Grand Valley State and Northwood along with some other DIII schools.
However, he took a chance on an opportunity he never thought would be possible and committed to Michigan State as a preferred walk-on, marking the second player in the recent Tom Izzo era to walk-on after a career with Okemos — the first being Mike Kebler.
