Mark Hollis had no conflicts of interest in giving a sneak peek of the NCAA Tournament’s top 16 teams.
There wasn’t even a Big Ten team in the bunch, let alone his.
Michigan State’s athletic director took to CBS on Saturday and unveiled Villanova, Kansas, Baylor and Gonzaga as the top four seeds with a month left before the actual bracket is completed, a first by the basketball tournament selection committee in an effort to increase transparency of their process.
“I think for the most part, it’s positive because of the transparency,” said Hollis, who is this year’s chairman, wrapping up his five-year term on the selection committee that began in 2012.
