Just one more add to the Michigan football coaching staff, and this one is a name that resonates in the state.
ESPN's Field Yates reported on Monday that U-M is hiring Pat Perles, the son of former Michigan State coach and Board of Trustee member George Perles, as as assistant offensive line coach.
Pat Perles, 55, has built a long resume of coaching since playing linebacker at and graduating from MSU in 1987. He was a defensive assistant with the Los Angeles Rams in 1992, and was on the Kansas City Chiefs staff helping the linebackers and offensive line from 2009-2011.
