Michigan football pummeled Michigan State on Saturday at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, beating the Spartans in consecutive years for the first time since 2006-07.
The Wolverines' 44-10 win marked their largest margin of victory in the series since 2002, when MSU's Bobby Williams infamously said after the 49-3 loss that he had lost the team. He was fired days later.
The blowout comes as MSU's current coach, Mark Dantonio, continues to face scrutiny about the direction of his program. Dantonio, MSU's all-time wins leader, now has lost five straight games but still has an 8-5 record against Michigan.
