EAST LANSING -- Once again, the rain fell in buckets and Michigan found itself on its heels in the second half its in-state rivalry game.
But this time, the Wolverines reversed their fortunes, rallied and broke through for a key rivalry win.
No. 6 Michigan scored a pair of second half-touchdowns and played suffocating defense as it topped No. 24 Michigan State, 21-7, on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Stadium.
The win gives the Wolverines (7-1, 5-0) a much-needed win against its in-state rival, after the Spartans came into the game having won eight of the last 10 in the series.
