Michigan basketball misses Isaiah Livers in loss at MSU as Winston puts on show

EAST LANSING — Free Press writer Orion Sang answers three questions after No. 13 Michigan basketball lost to No. 16 Michigan State, 87-69, on Sunday afternoon at Breslin Center.

How long will Isaiah Livers be out?

Michigan's offense really misses Livers, who sat out his second consecutive game with a groin injury. The usual starting '4,' Livers is shooting 50% on 4.8 3-point attempts per game. He's been the Wolverines' best shooter all season and spaces the floor. Without him, Michigan just didn't get enough outside shooting against Michigan State. Brandon Johns Jr. missed two early 3s while passing on several open looks, as the Spartans sagged off at the 3-point line.
