EAST LANSING -- The snap and hold were just fine, Michael Geiger said. The only thing out of the ordinary with his lone field goal try against Air Force was his own need to do his prekick steps twice.
Regardless of whether that threw him off, the result was a 35-yard attempt that never got past the line of scrimmage.
"I've got to be a little mentally stronger than that," Geiger said Tuesday. "Just didn't get my best hit on it, and it stayed low, and it kind of got blocked or kind of hit the back of our offensive lineman.
