Messiah deWeaver is one of those once-in-a-generation type of recruits. Formerly committed to Michigan to play quarterback, the four-star gunslinger wanted to be sure he was making the correct decision for his future, so he reopened his recruitment.
Last April, he committed to Michigan State and head coach Mark Dantonio, looking to contend for the starting job a couple years down the line.
Then a three-star prospect, deWeaver put together one heck of a senior season, passing for over 3,000 yards and 35 touchdowns, leading Huber Heights Wayne to the state title game of Ohio.
