The grass at Spartan Stadium played host to Mel Tucker’s first scrimmage as Michigan State’s new head coach Saturday, after going untouched for almost a year.
Tucker hopes for another scrimmage this weekend because in less than three weeks, the Spartans begin their 2020 season.
“It is becoming more real every day, which is which is a good thing,” Tucker said Wednesday during a video call. “We've been waiting a long time for this opportunity, and so we're just making the most of it every day and just embracing the challenges that we have.”
