Yesterday, the Michigan State Spartans picked up a commitment from 2016 kicker Matt Coghlin. Coghlin is a top-five national kicker out of Cincinnati Moeller (Ohio), which has become a Michigan State pipeline with players such as Shane Jones, Monty Madaris and former Spartan Greg Jones.
At first glance, it’s easy to see why MSU wanted Coghlin: he has accuracy and an enormous leg. Coghlin is listed as a generous 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, which in all honesty does not matter.
