EAST LANSING - For the first time in nearly two years, there are two names bolded at quarterback on Michigan State's depth chart.
It's Brian Lewerke or Rocky Lombardi as the starter under center for the Spartans (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten), who play at Maryland (5-3, 3-2) on Saturday.
Lewerke, a redshirt junior, has an injured right throwing shoulder and his streak of 20 straight starts ended last week. Lombardi, a redshirt freshman, made his first career start and led Michigan State to a 23-13 win against Purdue.
It's unclear who will start against the Terrapins this week.
