EAST LANSING -- Saturday afternoon at Spartan Stadium, fans and media will show up for the Michigan State spring football game with rosters in hand, only this year is a little different. This year, the rosters serve as scorecards, with participants and injured players gradually crossed off until only the suspended players and suspected rapists remain.
That they are not precisely the same group is a gray area Michigan State and Mark Dantonio left open today, intentionally it would seem, with the head football coach acknowledging that there are Spartans players who are suspended but not under investigation for sexual assault, and that media reporting the names of all suspended players this weekend will be guilty of lumping them together.
