Jim Harbaugh's plan to take Michigan to IMG Academy in Florida for practice over spring break has drawn the ire of the SEC. But the Wolverines' in-state rivals could potentially copy the idea.
Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio was asked about the Michigan plan on Thursday night at a fan event in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Here's what he had to say, according to MLive.com:
"I think it's creative; there's no question about that," Dantonio said. "From our standpoint, we've never thought to do that, but we're thinking about it nowadays."
SEC commissioner Greg Sankey raised objections to Michigan's spring practice getaway earlier this week, saying players should not have to give up their free time to practice during spring break.
